Another Knockout Trophy was completed today!
The Secretary’s Cup was played today between Steve Hall/Rob Vine and Paul Beckett/Jim Seedhouse with Paul and Jim receiving 12 shots.
The match was refereed by John Newton (Captain), the format is a “Greensomes” format with both players in each team Driving off and then electing their best drive to play forward.
Jim and Paul took the early lead with the advantage being squared a couple of times in the first 5 holes. Steve and Rob then gained the lead on the 6th which was very quickly returned to all square after 7, but from then on Steve and Rob played a very steady scoring game taking the lead and very much taking control on the back nine.
Steve and Rob pushed forward to Win the match 4 & 3, congratulations to them.
Commiserations to Jim and Paul, but well done on getting to the final.
