The Elsham Trophy Final is played at Elsham Golf Club, Belton Woods have been successful to reach the Finals in the last two years (2025, 2026). Those of you that have played the game of Golf in the format of Foursomes (playing alternate shots) know how intense the game can be.
Congratulations to the Men’s Scratch Team from Belton Woods GC in getting to the final again in 2026!
In what started as a slightly damp start to the morning, Belton Woods were drawn against Forest Pines in the Morning round, it turned into a very close run game with the aggregate score of all three match’s counting towards the overall result. It proved to be an 8-7 loss for Belton Woods, which would put them into a 3rd/4th Playoff in the Afternoon against Stoke Rochford GC.
The afternoon games proved to be successful and took 3rd place with a 9-1 win.
The overall Trophy was won by Lincoln Golf Club, 2nd Forest Pines, 3rd Belton Woods, 4th Stoke Rochford
Well done to the Lads involved lets work on 3 in a row, and look forward to next year.
