BELTON WOODS JUNIOR SECTION

The Juniors had a very successful end to May.
Daniel Agapito, won the Lincolnshire U16 Championships at Sleaford, and also came 2nd in the U18 Robert Rock Tournament held at Abbeydale Sheffield with a -2 under par score.
The girls of the section got into the act with Izzy Linsley, the Junior Vice Captain getting to the semi-finals of the Lincs. Girls Matchplay competition and sisters Sofia and Lois Evison dominated the Junior Open at Market Rasen with with Sofia winning Div 2 and the Ian Ribey Trophy and younger sister Lois winning the Sheilah Mitchell Trophy, scoring 45 and 44 points respectively.
To cap of the month Darcey Myers, came 2nd in the Lincolnshire Girls Spring Stableford held at Belton Woods.
This week we are holding a Rookie Camp for kids of primary school age new to golf.
The season has now started in earnest and the South Lincs League start with the first round of matches at Belton Park on 15th June.
We are actively seeking clubs to play friendlies with juniors around 24 – 54 handicaps to get them experience in matchplay formats. If anyone is playing at other clubs please mention the opportunity.
