The Roger Latter Trophy

This weekend the club played for the new Roger Latter Trophy

Roger worked at Belton Woods for over 12 years looking after thousands of golfers both members and visitors. He was very well respected in his role as starter which he did with both a sense of humour and authority. He was known throughout Grantham not just in his role at Belton Woods but also for his ownership of HH Cox (Tailors) of Grantham, a quality clothing shop fitting many members with their first school uniforms.

Roger was active in other sports with his love of football, golf and basketball the main sports he was involved with.

Roger’s retirement from Belton Woods was a loss to golf and he is still held in high regard today.

The Golf tournament was hard fought on a blustery day!
